| Printer is working again - its not working for 48hours was a good excuse not to do any work though...
Quiet weekend in a bid to save money - have to think of more things to do at the weekend that don't cost any money or involve constant tentacle sex(tm) because Teflon tentacle suits chaff, or so I have heard.
A statistical week ahead - dull! Oh, for an exciting job in 'new media'! |

| have just been on a training course for a new oracle database thingy they are installing. i completed the workbooks in half the alloted time so rather than skiving off early as i had planned, i've had to come back to the office to do some 'work'.
and now my printer is not working |

| I've just been sent this spot-the-difference picture and it made me chuckle. This man has his finger on the nuke button so for god's sake, no one throw him a banana.

| it was worse than i thought - it was an electronic robotic exotic psychotic EROTIC human-eating machine. I will not be able to sit down for a week.
Saw much loathed colleague at the shops on the way to work this morning - she should have been at work 20minutes before I saw her going into a coffee shop. It's nice to see things haven't changed there then - although I am amazed that she is actually in.
Spent last night making swords for the Battle of Hastings today but didn't have any sellotape so they are a bit crappy. Boyfriend is going to get the arrow through his eye (joke arrow that is - if we were still in Liverpool then things might be otherwise). Joke arrow is so amusing - the amount of times you can put the arrow on your head or over a cat and it look like they have been shot - a scream every time... |

| have just met a horrible woman which was just fantastic as I am already in a pretty bad mood.
---ooh, something electronic has just beeped behind me. to the best of my knowledge, i don't have anything electronic behind me. if I don't write again it is because i have been 'disposed of' by some sort electronic robotic exotic psychotic human-eating machine that is cunningly disguised as a bookcase. |

| in and out of meetings and doing dull work in between. throat still saw and am sounding more like Selma, sister of Marge, every day (with similar hair too).
found an aerial shot of my old house (lived there until may)- feel very spied on. it's the red brick/roofed one in the centre.

| The cold I mentioned on monday has still not developed any further than a sore throat and blocked sinuses (and an occasional headache as a result of the latter) - I sound so croaky and feel kinda poo but no one can't honestly use the 'i'm illlllll' excuse not to do any work. Immune system must not be in as bad of a condition as I thought it was.
Have been playing with my personal website over the last few days as have come to the conclusion that if I am going to waste time at work, I might as well waste it constructively. It still isn't as good as I want it to be but not bad - plus, the people i will send to look at it should be more interested in its content (cv, examples of work etc) than style. hey ho. |

| 9.28 and already not a good day - got a cold coming on, money problems (again), kinda late for work (yet again) and have lost a vital-ish piece of paper (yet, yet again). Hoping to hide out in the office and not have to face anybody today, especially my student bank who are hassling me about paying back my overdraft (all £1,300 of it). We'll be eating gruel chez spork until payday I feel... |

| According to this news story on Ananova, 'inventors' are going to be making cooling fans out of silicon that are the size of a pin-head. What is it with scientists always wanting to make things fit on the head of a pin or a grain of rice? Shouldn't they just be inventing stuff that would be useful and not instantly loseable? Plus, they never say whether it is a push-pin (head = about 8mm) or a sewing pin (head = about 1mm) or one of those sewing pins with the colourful blobby head (head = about 3mm). And is the rice long grain or short grain or even pudding rice? Is it cooked or uncooked? Dammnit! I want answers. |

| I totally agree with bAckline over the Jamie Bulger murderers-to-be-released thing. They were ten years old ferchristssake and have now spent about half their lives in prison. They will have enough problems returning to 'normal' society as it is and don't need any more revenge-style hassle.
It really pissed me off that the press said it was the Chuckie films that inspired the lads to do it. Oh yeah, of course all violent films should be banned because some kids saw it and did something horrid. I remember seeing Terminator when I was about 8 or 9 and I haven't felt the need to hunt someone down and kill them, although there was that incident in a vat of molten steel a few years ago... By saying it was all Chuckie's fault, the right-wing press could conveniently forget the socio-economic situation that the lads were living in - and how it was years of a mass-ass-shafting right-wing government who had put them there. Blaming violent movies is so much easier than pumping the billions needed for the regeneration of the Bootle-esque areas in every city. Tsk.
On a COMPLETELY different subject, it might to be a long spoke in my menstrual cycle but my boobs are definitely bigger than they were: maybe Cynthia the pagan boob god heard my (joke) bitching on here about them and has granted me some more volume. Let this be a lesson to all of ya! |
