Finally got through to the geek-ware ssl server, ssl seemed to have died. All fixed now. (not that SSL is gonna protect me for long from 5000 hackers here sharing the wireless network but still, its an improvement on plaintext, just).

It's hot here in Nevada, as would be expected, but I hadn't expected it to be hotter than as would be expected. Which it is, unexpectedly. I have eleven layers of sun block tho, so I'm in no danger of getting a sun tan.

I finally found a Power Puff Girls t-shirt! Ok, its a girls t-shirts, and its a little tight, but I look cute in it. I bought a power puff girls watch too, very ejeet.

The talks have been quite interesting here at DefCon, not as hardcore as I'd expected but still mucho fun. The Cult of the Dead Cow made an appearance, moaning and mooching about as their moms had stopped their pocket money or something and couldn't buy new Microsoft development tools to make elit0r h3xx0r tewlz.

Seems like Martin is working hard at work without me and Gianni opressing him, maybe we should extend this holiday a few more months so loads will get done. He is such a catch.

Reporting in from Belgium, after a day in Amsterdam. Not wanting to get totally and utterly mashed by smoked some super-strong Amsterdam weed, we settled for space cake which resulted in us getting totally and utterly mashed. I was sat in a restraunt totally paranoid that everyone was looking at me, attempting to speak. During every sentence my brain suddenly thought everything I had just said, had been said 10 minutes previously. My face went numb, by fingers felt like they were waving around, everything was blurry. Every so often everything would suddenly become mega-clear and I could speak fine for a few seconds, then everything went nutso again. Luckily we sobered up before meeting Rule's parents for the first time. I seriously was not expecting to be so, so fucked. We got video footage, maybe I'll put it online.

We fly to Las Vegas tomorrow. Some of that space cake would probably make the flight a little less dull.

I believe that LydiaBushGrrl has finally lost it, altho that could only be true assuming she ever had it in the first place. LydiaBushGrrl definately has something. I was thinking about falling in love with her, harrassing her over icq and irc, annoying her boyfriend, make myself look stupid, then go on a big moody stomp when I realise my forbidden love could never be. I'm hoping to realise what an asshole I am being along the way but if my past experience of people falling for Lydia is anything to go by, thats highly unlikely. In fact its unlikely I'd even notice my finger was up my ass the entire time. *waaaaiiit* do you think bAckline could be subtley talking about someone else here??? nooo.... *g*

Only a couple more days, and we hit Amsterdam, then Belgium. I need to contact my chum Tamir in AMS and attempt to shoehorn myself into his busy life, and check out his groovy mini :)

Moronic bigot racist assholes are marching thru my town today, nice weather for it. I'm not entirely sure what they hope to gain from marching though a predominantly asian community. I don't expect they'll be convincing many of them of anything.

Maybe less emphasis on the blind, I'd probably crash my horse. Hmmm, less emphasis on the horse too, I'm not too keen on them. Maybe less emphasis on being black too, I hear they've been through a lot. Maybe I could be jewish instead. A blind, jewish, guitar twanging, trumpet blowing, harmonica playing, horse riding blues musician. All I need now is a thing. Maybe I could wear my pants backwards.

Gianni read ahead on my Gary Larson comic calendar tear-off when I was out the other day. I hate him. He's ruined my enjoyment now; I can't chuckle as hard in the knowledge he has had a pre-chuckle at them when I wasn't looking.

Viva! Las Vegas! Yes people, me and scara will be departing for Las Vegas within the next few weeks to visit the notoriously elite hacker convention DEFCON. We will be visiting with our Belgian pal Rule, and doing more Elvis impressions than one would care to count, nor hear.

DEFCON 9 is from 13th to the 15th of July, at the Alexis Park Hotel. Lots of ereet sounding people will be there such as Thor, FX, ph0tek, TechnoDragon, Optyx, K2, and Marcus Andersson. I'm quite looking forward to it.

I'm gonna try get lots of photos, video and reviews online during the time we're there, and maybe even an outstandingly lame java chat rooms of sorts so we can get hacked. We'll also be doing lots of entries about Las Vegas and Americans in general as we're there for almost 2 weeks. I'm sure it will be all good fun until someone loses a dns server, or has a hub out or something.

Well, thats it over and done with. My gf finally decided she wanted to break up. Its only taken how ever many months. I gave her time, I gave her space, and all I asked in return was for her to *speak* to me, and not sms, email, icq, page, text or beep me. I didn't get that. I got an email instead.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, it did have a personal touch to it. Yes, some words were in bold. Actually don't get me too wrong, I did like Jenny very much, and I know she liked me, other un-related things just got in the way and fucked things up a bit for her. I'll miss her.
