BadRobot My mother in law Mon 26th Jul 2004, 10:51 link
My mother in law rang me yesterday to let me know that if I wanted to get the creases out of the shower curtain (she couldn't help but notice) I could run a hairdryer over the said curtain, not too close though obviously, and they'd drop out easily.

I'm in quite a good mood this morning, I noticed that msn have finally changed the "bearing teeth" smiley to a "baring teeth" one. So, ok, they never replied to any of my emails telling them about this, but now at least I know that THEY know I was right all along.

Edward just said his girlfriend wants to probe me, I think. I forget. I worry.

One could say I lead a life of fast cars, easy women and liquor, due to currently living above a newsagents / off license, on a big main road, with prostitutes outside.

After reading bAckline's diary I rememebered I found a website with haikus all about spam and sex once, can't rememeber why I came across that.... ahem... I think it's actually the third most popular site if you search for haikus on google. Lots about masturbating with spam. The internet just shows you way more scary people than neccessary. If that wasn't disturbing enough, I found out about "nose bondage" today. I'm not sure yet if it's a wind up.

Oh I do remember my password for this, why are all my diary entries so shallow? I think I was going through a phase. Hopefully the new phase will include more cups of tea. Brief summary of my life while I have been away- insomnia, roof falling off, commuting following the recent roof falling off incident, research on ants in the Peak district, paid off overdraft, got a tan, put on weight, wondered if being short has led in a strangely natural sounding way to me not existing anymore (evidence for this theory to be provided in full at a later date), found a novelty friend who thinks totally differently to me on everything, I would recommend it to anyone. Thing I like best about ants today: this isn't a new discovery or anything, but I like the way they don't really have instincts and have to learn instead. When you're a young ant you start off as a cleaner, then you get to go look after the queen and the eggs, then when you're old and clever you can go outside and look for food. I like that.

GGGrrrrrrrrrr I hate my housemates soooooooo much! I "told on them" to the cleaners today though which was satisfying.

Also felt righteous today as I walked an extra 10 minutes to go to the paper shop and the fuit and vegetable shop instead of just going to the supermarket.

Haha, just heard my housemate open the door on his way out and scream "oh no" evidently he hadn't realised until just then the absolutely HUGE amounts of snow we've had overnight!

Ooooh I remember what I wanted to write, having been out with bAckline and a load of "his people" three times I have noticed a recurring pattern of them picking people up (physically), singly and in groups, I wonder if it's a new social phenomenonemoenemomen.

I found a house for next year yesterday, it's on the same road as I am now but far enough away to get into a bad area, opposite the actual house is a little yard obviously for kids to sniff glue and burn out cars and stuff, um, it's the most filthy house I have ever seen, layers of scummy dirt with fag butts visible from decades before BUT it's still near uni, it's near a big Safeway and the Somerfield I have been relying on is soooo terrible, the rooms are all quite giant, we're allowed to paint it (YES! NO MORE MAGNOLIA!!!! - had four years of magnolia so far.....!) and the rent is 15 pounds less than I am paying now. So we're settling I guess. Hope it works out ok........
