well, i'm done with finals. dunno if i've passed all my classes, which will make this year pretty much lost (though i hate to say it), but i'm fucking DONE. yay

now i'm just trying to see all the movies i can while in france and go shopping as much as possible, thus making myself even broker than i am. also trying to plan a trip to um...uh...scotland, i guess. yeah, gonna see some castles before i go back to the US. we'll see...

yeah i'm a butthole. i've failed one of my stupid classes in france and i'll probably fail two more once i finish my finals next week. i hate france now :p i am just a bitter, bitter little french major. actually i may not even get to be a french major anymore! how horribly depressing...

on the lighter side of things, weezer's new album came out and of course it is fabulous. and basically whenever i want nowadays i can turn on the tv and see hot hot football players in their little shorts running about and being cute. it's lovely. and in just a few days when i finish failing all of my godawful exams i'll be free for a week in strasbourg and may actually get to enjoy myself a bit. i plan on spending a lot of my parents money and seeing movies :) yay!

went for a walk on my lunch-hour, well, walked to a library so i could read, and it was raining movie-rain. it was raining and i could see it raining in front of me but i wasn't getting wet and my spectacles were unspeckled. it was like someone had drawn in it afterwards or it was just raining in a couple of inches between the camera and the actors so they didn't get wet. it was rather bizarre.

coming back out of the library a little while later, it was raining *slightly* harder. i got soaked.

i think my life has reduced itself to a series of unconnected, random moments (the above being another example to add to the collection, which in many ways this journal system is). i think i need some kinda story to pull them all together. or at least a narrator. maybe someone with a really cool, deep voice like james earl jones.

< james earl jones voice > on that soggy tuesday afternoon, spork sat in her office, musing over the random anecdotes that made up her life and gently playing with her boobs.... < /james earl jones voice >

Ouch, ow, ow, ow........I have sunburn, and it hurts*.

*I am such a drama queen :)

Well, it's been a while my little cherubs. At the moment I'm on the verge of getting my lovely house, just waiting for all the paperwork to go through, then it'll be paintbrushes ahoy....yay! I've also had two 'lil kittens given to me for when I move in...they're black with little patches of white...both girls. I need help naming them tho.....at the moment I like the sound of scratch and sniff.... Email me if you can think of better names, it shouldn't be hard :)

Erm.......I'm still not smoking which has really impressed me not to mention my disciples. What else? Oh, yeah....I have managed to crash my car....nothing major just a bit of paintwork, grrrrrrrrr, it wasn't my fault though, honest guvnor.

Anyway, to bring me back to the beginning of this entry.....my sunburn.....this is a consequence of sitting on the riverbank on sunday afternoon cheering some mates on that were dragonboat racing for charidee maaaaan. Despite the eventual pain I would highly recommend it to anyone.....especially to all you ladies out there......hehehe, drool ;) Ahem, on that note I'll say bbye :))

And verily, it hath been seen, that there are Things.
Things that enable the sendings of the messages in the most manifold of the scripts.
And the things do work in a functional manner in the console.
And the interface that is the GUI will not input the text.
Grrrr.

It takes a lot to drive a gal back into her office once she's left on a Friday night but I've just experienced something that was worthy of that "a lot":

a pan pipe version of "Axel F", blasted so loud out of a car that I could hear it enough to identify the tune and the "instrument". Oh. My. Dear. *insert deity of your choice here*.

and i still have my headache.

We've finally regained network access - MonkeyBrains' dialins were eaten by MCI salesfolk a few days ago. Fifteen minutes after I finished configuring [$OTHERMACHINE] to act as a temp dialin ISP (which took two days) Monkeybrains announced that they now had a temporary access number which should remain valid until their real lines are installed.

Meanwhile, Berkeley's phone system is being eaten by their telco. (Details unknown, but I suspect it's so they can stick an audio grepper on all the lines. Of course, I also think that the gov't's why news.bbc.co.uk fails most of the time.)

Now that the net's back, of course, Chaos has changed IP addresses. So my email and Yeemp servers are down...
