| My morning so far:
Got up and at'em pretty quickly (and early for me) and went to get the bus. Just as I was leaving the house, the bus sails past (which is odd considering it is a bus, with wheels and a tendency to stick to dry land) five minutes early. I doh rather loudly then walk the five minute walk to get another bus. I wait at that bus stop for ten minutes before a bus shows up. I go into my bag to get my sans-pass bus fare but wallet is not there. I walk the five minute walk up-hill to the house and knock on the door (keys are attached to wallet, inside the house). There is no response except for one of the cats looking at me oddly. I knock again and again. Still no response. I shout through the letter box. I think you know what the response rate was. I grab a nearby garden cane and put it through the letterbox, using it to try to trigger the alarm but as I am working blind through a letterbox, I am less than successful. Cat is looking really bemused now. Bang and holler some more. Eventually the esteemed Judge of the Ruffneck deems to answer the door. Then laughs at me. I fetch wallet and walk back to the bus stop.
Grrrr.
After yesterday's keys/bus pass incident, I am the queen of forgetful. I should get a prize or a crown or something (which I would only lose/forget).
Irony, or i'ony (if you want to be all American about it), of it all is that I got offered the job yesterday, and have been offered a job here based on, amongst other things, my organisational skills.... |
